Penge Green Gym
Penge Green Gym in Winsford
Gardens is an innovative way for volunteers to get physically active and improve
their well-being, whilst learning new skills and making a difference to the
local environment. It is a weekly wildlife gardening project every Wednesday
throughout the year from 11am to 2pm. It was initially started by TCV (formerly
the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers BTCV) and supported by intu

by the Penge Green Gym volunteers themselves. Work to transform the gardens has
included constructing compost bins, a greenhouse, and raised beds, the creation
of wildlife habitats and tending to the ornamental beds, and more recently,
building a natural seating area and a children's natural play area. To find out more visit their website at www.pengegreengym.org.uk.
